prop 8 upheld 6-1
haha! you are going to let a select few ignorant people dictate your faith in the whole rest of humanity (not to mention the millions and millions of people just like yourself who ARE tolerant, understanding, open-minded and fair!)? be the change, my friend. it won’t be like this forever. soon, all the decrepit old politicians with ultra-conservative beliefs will die off. hopefully.

That aside, the judges upheld what the citizens of California voted for.  Can you imagine the alternative?  Then nothing we vote for would matter as a court could then overturn it.  Blame the 52% of folks who voted for it in California, not the judges.

Please note the judges ruling rests on the constitionality of the proposition, not its moral standing. Also note that Prop 8 received massive funding from sources outside California, most notably Utah.  No doubt some scheming religious groups figured if the most liberal state fell to their meddlings, the rest would soon follow suit.

But they forgot about Iowa.  And they forgot about Vermont and Massachusettes and Maine and Connecticut.  And they forgot about you.

Rather than bitching about Prop 8, show they were unwise to forget about you. Do something today.

Now.
