Stephen King, _On Writing _, which audiobook I’m listening to for at least the third time and still finding endlessly useful, compelling, realistic, and, yep, so inspiring. No writer makes me want to work harder than this hard-cursing, page-producing, humane word guy. (via merlin)

I recommend On Writing to nearly everyone who asks me to recommend books about writing. Many invariably say, “But I don’t like Stephen King that much.” To which I say, “Yeah, he didn’t really write anything worth reading after The Stand, except On Writing, which is awesome. Now go read it.”
