GPOYW - This is what a first draft looks like Boone’s Landing: approx. 101,000 words The plan: Read through, write additional, necessary scenes. Read again and draft for structure and timeline. Read again and cut all scenes that don’t further character or plot (it’s best if they further both). Finally, fix the words that need fixing. And yes, I took the photo this morning, and yes, I’m wearing my big-boy clothes.
