Welcome to the Internet
Let’s say there’s this guy, and you admire his opinion on some things. And let’s say he one day mentions a poet, this Richard Hugo fellow. And let’s say he posts an audio file, a poem or two.
And let’s say your dad is also a poet, or a history professor who knows a thing or two about poetry. Or really a poet who knows something of history.  And let’s say, in passing, you mention this Richard Hugo fellow. You say, “Do you know anything about Richard Hugo? Do you have any of his work?”
“Yes, yes,” your dad says. “The Triggering Town.”
And then let’s say you visit your dad, the day before a long weekend. In passing, you mention the book again, because you’ve thought of it just now, and it’s important to keep excitement in. Everything in passing. And maybe he’s set it aside and can find it quickly. And he has and does and with it is Making Certain It Goes On: The Collected Poems of Richard Hugo.
“I must have bought it at some point,” your dad says.
“Yes,” you say. “Must have.”
