Straight to Hell” as interpreted by Joe Strummer & the Mescaleros

From what I remember*, the song notes in The Clash on Broadway attribute the song much to Topper Headon. As the story goes, Topper went into the studio late at night and while messing around on the drums came up with the bosa nova rhythm that underlies the song. Strummer heard the track, felt it had to be used and the band constructed the song around it.

I’m not sure whether or not this was the same night Topper wrote and played most of the tracks on “Rock the Casbah.”

*If anyone has those notes lying around, can you check this? Also, can you go ahead and get them scanned and post them illegally to the Internet?
